The Day I Was Born - Simple Past of V. To Be - Reading + Writing + Grammar (90-minute class)
Students read the texts filling in the gaps with was or were. Then they reread the texts and complete a table.They do a True/False exercise on the 1st text, correcting the false ones; they answer questions on the 2nd; they find opposites in the 1st text and equivalents on the 2nd. Finally, students write a similar paragraph about the day they were born. We should tell them to ask their parents about the day they were born the previous class.
