Night on Earth Part II (New York) dir. Jim Jarmusch
This segment from Night on Earth tells the story of Yoyo and Helmut who meet and form an unlikely friendship in New York City during the course of one taxi ride. The film is full of expletives, so it may not be suitable for young learners; it does tell a touching story, however, of two people on the fringes of society who try to communicate. Helmut does not have English as a first language, so this is a good opportunity to practice introductions and ´first meetings´.
