Mini Book 2: In the Attic in colour and greyscale
The success of this story depends a lot on how it is told. Good use of intonation, pausing at the right time, emphasising the new information, putting fear into your voice when calling for "Dad" and receiving or giving a hug (if appropriate) at the end of the story. These simple stories read aloud are excellent for students to practise their own storytelling skills and help them gain fluency of speech. I hope that you are able to put this story to good use. All the creatures in the story are figments of the boys imagination as shadows and objects change to monsters but once Bob is in Dads comforting arms, they all disappear.
