The First Thanksgiving
This is an audience participation play and event to tell the story of America´s "First Thanksgiving". The play itself does not promote any of the traditional myths surrounding that first feast, but to be sure to teach it correctly, it is followed by a reading of the only eyewitness account of that party as well as a "fact or fiction" quiz for the whole group. Instructions to make two of the representative "costumes" are also attached. I bought the boys´ pilgrim hats because even though there were instructions how to make them on the internet, I just thought that would be easier to buy. I created this for the benefit of my new daughter who came here from Colombia, and for my brother´s guest who is from Spain. I really, really hope that someone else can use this, too!
