This is an adaptation of a story I wrote in 2007. This story uses only phonically regular words, 5 short vowels and a limited number of consonants as well as the words “my” and “the”, which the children have met in previous stories. For reading comprehension interact with the children like this: What is missing? What’s in/on the…? What colour is the…? Where is the (panda)? And suchlike. You can also ask the children about their own pets. It’s a good story for expressing emotions such as sadness, anxiety and joy. More info inside.
