Christmas around the world
I sometimes use this reading comprehension exercise in the last class of the first term. First I use it as a listening activity. I read the text and ask the students to take notes on what they hear. I usually do this as a kind of competition between groups to see who can memorise more details about the different Christmas traditions.Then I ask them to read the text.
