Text and questions, the old way, nothing special here. I don´t ask the students to make sentences but to give the bruto answer to show they´ve understood the text. I sometimes ask the answer in their mother tongue because on the one hand they can locate and guess the answer but it could be that they don´t understand it, and on the other hand they could understand the answer but be unable to say it in English. The students always like to learn about civilization, even the most boring topics (like the Battle of Hastings, yes yes!). Try it out and let me know!
