The Big Lebowski Worksheet
I pulled some random vocabulary from earlier in the movie and gave it as homework (could also be used as a pre-watching task); the comprehension questions are all from pretty early in the film (first half hour or so), but this worksheet is only intended to cover the first half of the film as it is. Since I break it up over two lessons, I have them do a task at home explaining what has happened so far. In the "at home" section, I set some research tasks, but those would fit in better as an at home pre-watching assignment. I think it would also be useful/entertaining to ask students to predict what will happen in the next segment. Anyway, I think the Big Lebowski is a classic piece of Americana that brings a lot to the ESL classroom.
