"There Will Come Soft Rains" short story
This lesson is designed as a pre-reading activity for "There Will Come Soft Rains" by Ray Bradbury. This activity allows students to get out of their seats to read various questions about what the world will be like in 50 years. A post-it note must be filled up as much as possible until the teacher says "switch." Students respond by thinking like a "visionary" and when the writing begins, your room will be productively quiet as students learn to be independent thinkers.
