Using Pictures to Tell Stories
I would recommend using this worksheet as a writing prompt, although it could also be used as a conversation starter. It can be used with intermediate or advanced students.
On the first page, you´ll see 4 random illustrations from ancient books. You can ask the students to look at the pictures, and write what they think each person is saying or thinking.
The second page gives students space to write a description of what is happening in each picture. You can then ask them to choose one (or more) image and turn it into a short story.
Have fun... I´d love to know how it worked in your classroom, so feel free to leave comments!
