Running dictation
Children will work in groups of 4 or 5. You may photocopy it and enlarge to double size. Place the worksheet on the blackboard using sticky tape. One per group is ready to run to the blackboard, read and memorize a sentence, run back to the groupīs spot in the class and dictate to another member of the group, who will write down.Readers can take turns (even writers!) They must do it in a given time (3 up to 5 minutes) .Then proceed to correct the written work. Give points for every word that is complete and correct. The important thing is not to finish first, but to do it with the least number of mistakes. Great to practice reading and writing, spelling of words. And have fun!!
