"My Radio Show" Project
This is a great project for generating creativity, using a variety of learned English, and possibly giving shy students a chance to present without as much pressure. In groups, students think of an idea for a radio show or commercial. Then, they write a script (first and final draft). Last, they record. In my case, our school has a computer lab where they can do this. I´m planning to burn the recordings onto a CD. For our last lesson, we´ll listen to the entire CD and I´ll have students answer listening comprehension questions and evaluate the performances. (Note, " X_________" is a blank for the teacher´s signature.) Please check related WS´s ("Radio Vocabulary" and "Think & Discuss: The Radio").
