Phrasal Verb/Preposition Song Activity - Livinī On a Prayer by Bon Jovi
This is a fill-in-the-blank worksheet with the lyrics to the song "Livinī on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi, with red blanks and green blanks. Start out by playing the song. Ss have to listen and fill in the missing words. This may have to be done several times. Once all the blanks are filled in, ask Ss what the green blanks represent (prepositions) and what the red blanks represent (phrasal verbs). Then, use it as a review of prepositions and as a discussion for the phrasal verbs, what they mean in the given context and ask Ss to use them in their own sentences. This was a very fun activity for my sophomore level Ss in Mexico City...they kind of forgot they were actually learning something!
