Running Dictation Grammar: Present Perfect and Past Simple
This great activity is a grammar exercise disguised as a running dictation. Classes of all ages will love it as it gets bums off seats. They won´t even notice that they are doing a grammar exercise! Pairs collaborate to copy sentences which are stuck up around the classroom, and then discuss whether the use of tenses is correct or not, correcting as necessary. They take their answer to the teacher for checking and receive a time penalty if they are wrong. First group to complete all 10 sentences wins.
