Species Preservation Activity - Passenger Pigeon
This is an activity that I thought up for my students who had been studying human effects on the environment and how our actions can cause harm to the environment. We had seen several clips about deforestation and overfishing, which made me think of a "recent" occurrence that involved the extinction of Passenger Pigeons through human influences. Use this with intermediate students that are studying the environment or ecosystems.
