Mini Book 14: Hunting in colour and greyscale
I wish I could do more but other work has priority right now, sorry. I have reformatted this 2005 story to make a suitable for a mini book. This story uses only single letter sounds, so early readers and dyslexics should have little difficulty in reading it.
Irony or poetic justice is introduced on page 6, hopefully your young students will see the humour.
For reading comprehension interact with the children like this:
Who wrote the story?
When did he write it? (I like to point out the copyright here)
What is the title of the story?
Where are the rabbits?
Where is the pelican?
Do you want to go hunting?
Do you want to hunt skunks? Why not?
You may use L1 if it helps you better interact.
The children can draw a scene or write something about hunting on the back page.
