Pricing Survey
This is a paired conversational activity that uses real world pricing to help students become more familiar with the vocabulary of shopping. Can also use this to correct students´ pronunciation of specific dollar amounts. Give each student-pair their own sheet. Have them guess the price of each item. Then fill in the dollar amounts in the appropriate columns. Calculate the difference and see how close they were to the actual price (which as the teacher, you would have to provide). Pre-teach the various discount/taxes and discuss how they change the prices of items. You can change the objects and pricing as needed.
