Medical Dilemmas
For this discussion activity, divide the class into pairs or small groups and give each student ONE of the cards. The students debate the issues on BOTH cards (the sale of human organs AND requiring medical students to do 6-month internships in developing countries). Each student has prompts with ideas for ONE of the topics. I use these in conjunction with a lesson on using expressions for expressing opinions, agreeing and disagreeing.
(I find it helpful to print the cards on page 1 onto one colour paper and the cards on page 2 onto another colour paper.)
