These cards are a great way to get your students talking. The amount of dating-cards depends on the amount of your students. One for each student. Repeat with your students how to ask politely for a date (would, could, perhaps, please). Moreover they should know what to answer if they aren´t available anymore at the requested day, e.g. "I´m sorry but I already have a date on Tuesday. But I could offer you a date on Friday. What do you think?" Hand out one dating card to each of them. Then the students have to walk around and ask for dates in English! Each student has to write down the name of its date. You can also tell them to find at least two dates of the other gender. This will only work if nobody is ill that day. When you want your students to communicate you just tell them the task and to go together with their ....-date.
