Make your own word cards (e.g. BEL, PUF, BUZ) Ask your kids to move the card along the "track" and see if it follows the rule, if yes, move on to the second stop, if not dump it in the trash (and do not double the last consonant). If the word card made it all the way till the end (new word = double the last consonant).
