THE or NO ARTICLE with geographical places
This is the first half of a worksheet in which there are 13 sheets with pictures, examples and "antiexamples" (i.e. what NOT to say) of when you need THE with geographical features.
There are examples of definite and indefinite articles with geographical things (mountains, seas, countries, waterfalls, oceans, mountain ranges, continents, rivers, lakes...) and then at the end of the second part there is a worksheet for the student.
The idea is that the teacher hangs the pictures of the 13 geographical features up around the class and students walk around and fill in their worksheets as to whether you need "the" with these places:)
I have used this when teaching in Finland, it worked really well:)
