M.A.S.H.
I made this sheet for my elementary age ESL students to practice the future. It can also be used as a good review of occupations, numbers, asking questions etc. Even though it´s a game that we play in the U.S. as kids, my kids had never played it.
Directions:
Have them work in pairs and "MASH" each other. The M.A.S.H. stands for Mansion, Apartment, Shack, House. First the kids ask each other "Who are four people you want to marry?" and they record that info on their sheet. Once all the questions have been answered they cover their paper and draw a spiral until the other person says stop. Then they count the number of rings in the spiral and use that number to cross off options on their MASH sheet. For example - If the number is 5 then beginning with the MASH they would count 1,2,3,4, and on the 5th option mark it off. Once all but one option has been crossed off in each category it is circled and then that category is closed. The game is finished when each category (including the M.A.S.H. uptop) has only one choice left. Those remaining options are what the future will be. Have the kids read the "future" to their partners.
Demonstrate on the board with the kids first. And google better instructions if this isn´t clear.
