Using short films in the classroom:
The short film "My Name Is Lisa" (6:27 min)won the award "Best Short Film of 2007" on youtube.com. It is a short film about a loving, helpful and clever 13-year-old girl who is faced with her mother´s Alzheimer´s disease that is getting worse and worse. Alzheimer´s is one of many serious and frightening diseases that are still without a cure. Alzheimer´s causes gradual memory loss. Thousands of children are caregiving for someone with Alzheimer´s or dementia. These worksheets will help you talk about this great short film as well as the problems described above.
