This lesson is on the song sweet home Alabama. I used it after having explained some facts about "the struggle for equality", The Civil War, life in the South. This is a reflection on patriotism and feeling about our home when we are abroad. The second part of the lesson is the while-listening activity the song and a third part, a transference in which the students can reflect about the text and the topic. The political issues of the song are clarified in the annotations at the end of the activities.
