Good practice for ELLS to practice Word usage - parts of speech, verb tense, singular-plural, rhyming (poetry).
You could put content words in place of part of speech.
Also supports writing complete sentences and sentence types.
This exercise is great as a daily warm-up for quick practice and sharing.
Can be easily adapted to any content, topic, review of text.
My 7th grade students enjoy this activity and ask for more.
