The Simple past irregular verbs (combination game) worksheet

Preparation: first you need to copy the "worksheet". I find it most useful if every two pupils get one "worksheet". Next cut out all the verbs and mix them up. But keep all the verbs from each "worksheet" together by putting them in an envelop. Instructions: hand out the envelops. the pupils need to combine the infinitives with their correct irregular simple past forms. Let the pupils work in pairs / groups. The group who combines all the forms correctly wins the game. If more groups achieve this goal, then the group who was first wins.
