The Night Before song by The Beatles worksheet

This song allows students to recognise the difference between past simple and present simple verbs. The lyrics of the song make it simpler by saying ´the night before´, ´now today´. Students fill in gaps, then classify verbs according to tense and finally write down the past/present tense for all verbs. Of course, students love to sing along at the end, too! I first used this with an elementary student who thought it was too fast the first time she listened but was very proud at getting all the verbs by the fourth time. Would also make a nice activity for pre-intermediate/intermediate students.
