First Date by Blink 182
This is a listening/vocabulary activity. This is a song about the singer getting ready for and being nervous about a first date with a girl. It is a combination of fill in the blank and circle the best option. The missing words or word choices would likely be obvious to a native English speaker, so it is good practice in getting students to think about what feels right to go in the space. Get them to try to fill in the blanks or make selections before you listen. They get pretty happy with themselves when they´ve guessed right. There is also a short vocabulary matching exercise following the song. I would suggest making some follow up discussion questions. An answer key is provided.
