Ordinary Day by Great Big Sea
This is a song by Great Big Sea about the life of an ordinary day for a girl very down on her luck, but who remains positive. It is a gap fill, or circle the choice activity. Some blanks/choices can be done before listening as they collocate with other language in the song. There is a table to be filled in with song vocabulary on the second page, and the third page has definitions which can be cut up and distributed among students so that they can move around and get answers from each other. There are also come questions about interpreting meaning of some lines of the song and some discussion questions to do at the end. Answers are provided.
