Extract from ´On Foot Through Africa´ by Ffyona Campbell Ffyona Campbell is a long distance walker. On 2nd April 1991, she left Cape Town, South Africa and walked the length of Africa covering over 16,000 km before arriving in Tangiers, Morocco two years later on 1st September 1993. She wrote a book about her journey. You will read about her experience with African children when they see her camp and when she walks through villages. A good text extract to use to teach features of non-fiction/autobiographical writing. Introductory activities included.
