The Simple Present Perfect
This is a gentle introduction to the Simple Present Perfect. I have tried to keep it basic. Although I have included the contracted ´I´ve´ form, I made sure to avoid the more confusing He´s and She´s forms. The main focus is on the 1st 3 usages, which I feel are more important (and should be practiced more in class). I have grouped usages 4,5 and 6 together for two reasons. First, if students are struggling to get to grips with the first 3 then these are in a separate box to be tackled another day. Secondly, if certain students find the first 3 easy then this acts as a side activity which they can work on whilst the other students are still understanding the first 3. I know in American English usages 3 and 4 can be used with the past simple. I will address differences such as these in another worksheet. At the end there is a simple multiple choice exercise. Hope it helps!!!
