The story is first practised.Then the class is divided into groups.Each group is given the story, but cut up into words.
One student is elected to be the "runner" who goes to the front of the class, reads a little of the story [A tall man] and rushes back to tell his group.
Whichever group is able to lay out the story, one word card at a time, exactly as it is written, is the winner.Students go crazy for this game.I used it for grade 5, but according to the complexity of the language you chose, you can use this even for grade 1 or high school
