Katy Perry - Last Friday Night – Teacher’s Guide.
1. Start the class asking the students:
• Do you like to hang out on Friday nights?
• Who do you hang out with?
• What do you usually do on Friday nights?
• What’s the best place to go on Friday night in Campinas? Why?
• Ask for suggestions about amazing places to go.
2. Ask the students: Do you provide / give parties at your home? Why? Why not?
3. Explain the students they are going to watch a video about a girl who gave a party at her house. Pass the video Katy Perry - Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.). Notice the correct video has 8 minutes.
4. After passing the video once, hand the worksheet to the students and ask them to check ( x ) the name of the objects they saw on the video. If some students don’t know the meaning of some words on the worksheet, elicit them to ask: “What’s the meaning of ______? and ask a student you’re sure he/she know the meaning to explain that word to the other ones.
5. Pass the video again and correct the activity pausing when the objects appear on screen.
6. Hand the Song worksheet and the students have to listen and order the words on the song. After starting ask them to order without listening to the song. Just to see if they can complete it. After listen again and correct the activity.
7. If you have time work with some expression on the song and try to sing the song with them.
