Super Mario Battleship Game - Is / Am / Are - Simple Present
Make a copy for each student in the class. Put double-sided tape behind the characters or have the students use glue. Students will cut out the characters and place them anywhere on the board. Next, they make pairs and try to find each other´s characters by asking questions using the guide on the side (like battleship). Students will make a guess and ask a yes/no question. For example, "Is she happy?" If the other person has a character there, the answer is "yes" and the student makes an O on the smaller board (partner´s answers). If not, the answer is "no" and the student makes an X on the answer board. The first student to find their partners pieces wins! I give Super Mario stickers as prizes to the winners.
You can replace the words in the game by copying the chart in Photoshop or Paint and editing it. Just plop them back into the document when you are done.
