Apartment Hunting in Canada
In this lesson students have the opportunity to look at apartments in Canada. In the first part they practise vocabulary associated with the different kinds of apartments. In the second part, they brainstorm the things that are important when looking for an apartment. Then in the third part, they use the internet to look at real apartments for rent in Canada. They must select one that they like and present it to their classmates.
Note: To make it more challenging, the teacher may set conditions for the students, such as a limit on how much they can spend.
I taught this a university ESL class. The students really seemed to enjoy the mixture of dream and reality. I hope your class enjoys it too.
