Number Bingo
This is my favourite activity when teaching the numbers. After teaching the numbers (1-99) I use this Bingo game to deepen their understanding. The Bingo encompasses the numbers from 11-35 (so all the difficult numbers such as 11,12,13 etc are included) Furthermore, I spelled the numbers out, so the students need to be able to read the numbers.
Here is how I do it in my class:
Cut one of the Bingo cards up and put the single numbers into a hat (a bowl or cup will also do). Give the Bingo cards to your students and start drawing the numbers out of the hat. The students now need to be able to understand the number you are telling them and highlight them on their Bingo card. After the first round, I choose alternate students to pick the numbers, so that the students can practice how to pronounce and say the numbers. This game is always great fun and has brightened up all my classes.
I truly hope you will enjoy this activity!
