7 8 9 (7 ATE 9)
SONG - 7 8 9 by the BNL. It’s an amusing song about the joke – Why is 6 afraid of 7? Because 7 ate 9. It is very amusing. The first page has the lyrics and boxes for the students to fill in the definitions of the words, phrases and people they may not know. The second page has the references to where the teacher can find the information to understand the jokes and references made in the song. Before I teach this song, I will have the students ease into numbers by using joebcn’s wonderful worksheet, “Let’s Talk About Numbers,” found at http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=418273#thetop .
