Generation Gaps*** Film Analysis*** Bend it like Beckham
Hello everyone, this is a very interesting activity to do with your students when tackling the issue of family conflicts and gender gaps. I used two scenes of the famous movie Bend it like Beckham and I start the introduction of the lesson with an anticipation on the poster of the movie. I create an information gap and I hide the shoes she is holding in her back. I make my students guess what she is holding, and why. They usually have many ideas ! Then we write a description of the document and we start with the analysis of the scenes. Have fun ! Answer key included. Fully editable.
