I WISH structure based on a song I wish I could fly by Nina Simone
I use this song as a revision or an introduction of I WISH structure. The song has become an anthem for the civil right movement so it can also be used to discuss the problem of racism and discrimination. There is a pre-listening activity that introduces this subject. SS do two exercises while listening to the song. A post-listening exercise opens a discussion about freedom (can be used as h/w writing).
