Reversi: reported speech
Reversi or Othello board game practicing reported and direct speech. The 64 chips are double-sided, one side is blue, the other side is yellow. The yellow side is reverse to the blue one. You can either print always two pages, each one on each side of a hard sheet of paper or you can print them separately and then glue always two pages, each one on each side of a sheet of cardboard. Then you need to cut the chips out (which is a bit of work). One side of each chip has a sentence in direct speech, e.g.: Sarah said, "You are lazy.", the other side has a sentence in reported speech, e.g.: Sarah said I was lazy. Students play reversi with the chips and whenever they´re gonna turn over one, they have to say what´s on the other side, before they turn it. If they get the sentence right, they can leave the chip turned, if not, they have to turn it back, facing up with the original side. Enjoy!
