School and School subjects
Hi everyone,
This is a pronunciation lesson I have put together for an intermediate class on syllable stress rules for words with more than one syllable. the lesson opens up with a discussion activity. the students are then given some background information on syllable and syllable stress. to follow is a listening activity where the students listen to several words and have to write down the the number of syllables. The students then listen again to the same list of words and have to write the stress pattern for each of them. Finally the students are given a role play scenario in which to practice the target pronunciation. So often pronunciation is overlooked in the class, but itīs extremely beneficial for students to practice pronunciation as it gives them more confidence in the class and with English as a whole. I hope you like it. Vsquared.
