4 in a Row - Modal Verbs
This is a really fun game and my students love it. It is played like the normal "4 in a Row", i.e. you have to try to colour four consecutive boxes in your colour (either down, across or diagonal). To be allowed to do so, you have to form a correct English sentence with the words given (eg: I am allowed to go to parties every weekend.). Only if your sentence was correct, you are allowed to colour your box.
In my opinion this exercise is really good because the students do not only have to think about forming correct English sentences but also about a strategy how to defeat their opponent and win the game which is quite demanding for the students.
Two students need one of the grids.
