What a wonderful world
This is a worsheet I did to work on the song "What a wonderful world". There are different steps to do so. The worksheet is divided in two parts you must give separately to the pupils. First, they read the biography of Louis Armstrong, then they listen to the song and see that it´s a joyful song. Second, they read the lyrics and watch an extract from Good Morning Vietnam (you can easily find it on youtube) and have to understand that it´s an ironic use of the song. Finally they can listen to a rock version of the song by Joe Ramone. This last one hour class.
