Movie: From Hell (a Jack the Ripper movie)
(Intermediate-Upper-Intermediate) This is ideal for Halloween! Itīs the 2001 movie loosely based on the Jack the Ripperīs killings with Johnny Depp as the detective. I created this to go along with New English File Intermediate, unit 7 where there are a couple of activities about Jack the Ripper, and this particular movie is mentioned. Therefore this is suitable for higher intermediate students although some had difficulties understanding the first scene (very informal and kind of slurred language), so you can use it with upper intermediate as well.
The worksheet includes: fill in the blanks, true or false, questions, put the dialogue in order as well as some vocabulary from the movie.
