DESERT FLOWER - Movie Worksheet (for students)
Worksheet for the Film "Desert Flower", which tells the story of famous top model Waris Dirie. Suitable for older teenagers or adults due the topics and images the film deals with. I used it with teenagers at an upper intermediate level because the film itself generates opportunities for students to discuss and exchange their ideas about many topics presented in the film (fashion, immigration, different cultures,friendship, traditions, etc). Itīs a long movie, so I split it in "sections" comprising different scenes in order to make the viewing of the film more enjoyable and allows for checking comprehension of the story after each section since it goes back and forth in the life of the main character: Waris Dirie.
