Who Where What Wear?
A fun activity to introduce or revise past continuous.
You could take your students outside to a square or mall, or even just around your school. Get them to note down the personīs name, where they are (good for prepositions, shops etc...), what they are doing, and what they are wearing.
Bring them back to class to ask and answer. e.g. "What was person 1īs name?" "David" "Where was David" "David was next to the Bank" "What was he doing?" "He was reading a newspaper." "What was David wearing?...
The opportunities are wide, and this can be used for a whole lesson. I really enjoy teaching this, and the students enjoy it because they get out of the classroom! (Just make sure you keep an eye on them).
