Quartet -crime
Play in groups of 4. Shuffle the cards and hand them equally to your learners. Each player has 8 cards. The aim of the game is to collect the series of 4 cards belonging together (the word, its definition, the corresponding picture and the word in your first language – complete the card worksheet with your language equivalents). The first player asks another player for a specific card- e.g. Do you have a picture of the bribery? Do you have a definition for a word “murder” Do you have French / Spanish/…equivalent for the word “blackmail”? If the player asked has the card he must give it to the asker and the asker continues by asking the same or another player for another card. If the asked player does not have the wanted card they say "I don´t have it" and the turn passes to them. Completed series of cards are placed face up in front of the owner. When all series are complete, the player with most wins.
