Festivals from Around the World
Here´s a simple worksheet based on two celebrations from China and England: Put students into pairs, student A reads about their festival, student B listens and writes 4 details from the paragraph. B then asks A their questions and writes the answers. Swtich. After that, students discuss the questions about festivals in general.
From there, you can have the students write 4 questions about festivals and have them survey the other students in the class, and then write about/present their findings.
You can also take it one step further and get the students to research another festival as a project, using the discussion questions from the first page as a rough guideline.
