Where do the words in the English language come from (Text for listening-comprehension with tasks)
This worksheet contains a text, which can be given to students as a listening-Comprehension Test, while listening to which they have to complete some tasks and get acquainted with the way of how the words in the English language appeared and where they were borrowed from. The text is rather simple, but nevertheless it gives students a general conception of the origin of some borrowed words in English.
