Creating a magic wand
I made this for my absolutely not motivated 9 years old student. He hates English, but loves magic and has always dreamed about having a magic wand. So I created a small story and found some instructions on the Internet about creating a wand.
The activity is fun: there´s reading practice (the story and instructions on making a magic wand), so it will make the student want to understand texts in English.
It teaches children that English can also be means of reaching their goals.
